الفنانه أميره العماري

“Through art we speak one international language, let us speak to one another through the language of life, language of love, yes, the language of Art.” Amira Al Amary. I am of Yemenis and Ethiopian background and a graduate of Addis Ababa University, Ethiopia where I studied fine arts. I also studied computer graphics in Pona, India and web design in Edmonton, Canada. Further, I conducted workshops with artists from Europe and the Middle East, and is a founding member of the Yemen Art Association and a member of Artists to Artists Foundation.Often, I step outside of my cultural comfort zone to explore and look at relevant issues, and do so with sensitivity and grace. I believe that art is like a diary, it tells a story of life lived and a snapshot of things to come. As an artist, I strongly advocated community involvement to promote the arts by contributing time and talents and resources.
I have a keen interest in creating greater insights on the struggles of women as well as helping women to use the arts to share their stories.

Watercolor Series: – It represents challenges, something fresh and interesting. It allows me to push myself, to explore brand new interests and the range of my artistic abilities. What I have discovered from working with watercolors is that the artist is forced to be honest and sensitive. There is no ‘cover up’. This medium challenges you to develop and bring forward your capabilities, talents, and artistic integrity
